Hailey McCulloch, MT-BC, NMT

Owner / Neurologic Music Therapist / Private Music Instructor

Hailey is a board-certified music therapist and private music instructor, with over a decade of experience in teaching.

Her passion lies in using music to improve lives, whether that is through music therapy in a clinical setting, classical music instruction, or the processing of songwriting. A seasoned instructor and performer, Hailey helps every student and client experience the joy of making music. With nearly a decade of experience working in the disability community, she tailors each individual’s lessons or therapy to their own personal goals and values.

In 2020, she graduated with highest honor, earning her Music Therapy Equivalency Certification from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Prior to completing her music therapy degree and passing her board examination, Hailey also graduated summa cum laude from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Comprehensive music, majoring in classical voice and violin, with a minor in piano. Hailey is also an international presenter within the music therapy community, having shared her expertise on the use of the International Phonetic Alphabet in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.

Most recently, Hailey completed her training with the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy in April 2024 and earned the professional designation of Neurologic Music Therapist.

Jackie Loyd, MT-BC

Board-Certified Music Therapist / Private Music Instructor

Jackie is a contractor music therapist and music instructor joining us at Fiddlehead Music! When her passion for music and helping collided in 2012, she chose to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Campbell University and then a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy at Radford University in Virginia. After her internship at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters and Sentara Neurology Specialists in Norfolk, Virginia, she became a Board-Certified Music Therapist in 2019.

Throughout her clinical experience and career, she has had the opportunity to provide both individual and group music therapy services to people across the lifespan, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, sensory disorders, pulmonary disorders, cancer/blood disorders, and TBI/stroke. She also had the privilege of researching and practicing under the therapeutic models of Neurologic Music Therapy and Medical Music Therapy. Jackie has worked as an integral part of various interdisciplinary teams that included Art Therapists, Child Life Specialists, teachers, medical staff, and family members/caregivers.  She believes in a personalized, strengths-based therapeutic approach that can assess and treat social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioral needs.

In addition to music therapy, she provides music lessons for voice, guitar, ukulele, and piano. She has a heart for serving others and finds joy in guiding her clients and students through meaningful music experiences that will help them reach their goals and enhance their lives. Jackie has a husband of 5 years and a 20-month-old daughter and in her free time enjoys traveling, art, yoga, movies, live music, nature, and spending time with those closest to her. She is ecstatic about joining us and is looking forward to meeting you!
